Bee

My husband brought this bee home for me. I get my bees mixed up. Is this a honey bee or a wasp?--I know it's not a bumble bee--those are the furry black and yellow striped ones. Again, I used a magnifying glass.

Dead Bug

Dead bug as seen through a magnifying glass.
Check out my new purchase buttons!! thanks to Tracey Miller, web site designer and illustrator. I'll be adding them onto all of my paintings, but not at the moment--have to go pick up my granddaughter....

Cocktail Umbrellas

Had to do it--you could see this one coming--the little cocktail umbrellas--besides, my granddaughter loves them for all her dolls. That little beetle-bug was crawling up and down the umbrellas and posing with wings outstretched at the top of the umbrellas--then it would sort of fly/jump down and check out another one! I painted him in three times. He somehow must have jumped into my water, because I almost poured him down the drain. I saved him and let him dry out under the umbrella. Sort of like a day at the beach with beetle-bug!
