This blog started with small daily paintings then changed to a more personal sharing of projects, events and photos. Enjoy!

Hands Holding an Engine Piece

I have no idea what kind of machinery piece this is. It has been a part of our outdoor collection of rocks and other things. My husband posed for me. He picked it up and said, "This looks like you." My husband is a maintenance worker and his father was a mechanic.

The rules:

1. Link to the person who tagged you

2. Mention the rules

3. Tell 6 quirky but boring, unspectacular details about yourself.

4. Tag 6 other bloggers by linking to them

5. Go to each person's blog and leave a comment that lets them know they've been tagged

My 6 quirky, boring, unspectacular details:

1. I write notes to myself all the time, in fact I'm using one right now

2. I like to nap outside because it makes me feel like I'm doing something; I'm being productive.

3. Before sending out my framed paintings I hang them on my wall for a short period of time.

4. My two biggest fears as a child were of being kidnapped and having my tonsils out.

5. Wet string gives me the creeps

6. I've been secretly waiting to be tagged--this must be the most boring and pathetic one of all!

Galloping a Horse

My grand daughter's hands playing with a toy horse. We found this horse at the beach--it was buried in the sand with just the legs sticking out. Maybe it's more comfortable upside down.

Preschool Paint

My granddaughter came home from school with paint stained hands, must have been doing some finger paints. All sorts of thoughts were going through my head while painting this--it looks religious, but isn't. A bit gory, but that wasn't intended. Certainly a lot messier than her hands really looked. I painted this one yesterday, but ran out of light to take a picture and post. Today is a holiday so I won't be able to paint. Have a good Veteran's day, and if you are a Veteran, god bless you.

Croton

I like the silver/green of this plant. Croton grows low to the ground. It looks especially nice on a foggy day.
