Matilda Marionette

I got it all wrong in my last post. My daughter informed me that the marionette in the red dress is Scarlett O'hara from Gone with the Wind. Geeze, I haven't even read Gone with the Wind, and she was reading that in elementary school?! There's lots I don't remember. This sweet little marionette is the character, Matilda from the book Matilda by Roald Dahl. My daughter must have been a year or two older when she made this one, because I don't remember helping with this one as much.

ok this one i did do. can't really remember if it was for my own class project or if i was helping someone else. I think i might have been guilt of taking over projects for my siblings too. But that was the face i painted on almost all the marionettes or dolls i made--this way it was easy not to mess up--minimal style. and i remember making those clothes and the hair. oh yes the hair. i was so determined not to have the glue show --i wanted it to look real. I don't think i was ever satisfied with the outcome of her hair. I do think this one was mine? because matilda was one of my favorite books--but i'd probably say that about most Roald Dahl books since he was my favorite author for years. Do you remember who turned this one in for a project? Although i guess it doesn't matter since i was the one who made it...but curious if i was guilty of the same thing?

Hmmm... Your sister said she made this one, she was quite sure! But I thought it was yours--are you sure you made this one? Do you think you helped her make this one? I can't remember either! But I certainly remember well who made the next one I'm about to post! I bet you can guess!
