My Mom's Quilt nodp

My mom made this quilt. She never finished putting in all the quilting stitches she intended. In fact she never finished hemming around the edges, so when my sisters and I were visiting, (she lives in the alzheimers wing in a care facility), we snatched the quilt to finish the hem. I love this quilt--I only wish I had taken a picture of it on her bed. It looks the best that way, in her room with all her things she had taken from her house to make her room feel like the home she'd lived in for so many years.

Today I posted my 'Gargoyle painting' on the Daily Painters Web.

How beautiful it is Susan. I hope your mom gets some pleasure and comfort from having her favourite things around her. She was - is! - one talented lady.
