I used old T-shirts to make these dolls. My daughter will be giving these to all the children who'll attend her wedding in August. She's keeping her wedding very small. I've started to sew the body--(with face attached) In between my sewing, I worked outside trying to get ride of a whole yard of foxtails! Check out the upper right hand corner--They get into everything--even the cat--I've clipped her fur and keep brushing her when she comes in. I wore my hat, it worked!
We had a little assembly line going--my granddaughter put in a small vile of rice for a little weight, and I stuffed the rest.
I hope the gargoyle approves!
The only way I could sit and sew was to teach my granddaughter how to stitch--this slows me down quite a bit, but she did a great job--her very first stitches!!

Those dolls look very interesting. I hope we see the finished product. It's nice to see the assembly line has some help - in between her sewing. I hope she likes stitching and keeps it up. It is a fun hobby and relaxing.

Hi Martha--she was keeping me busy threading needles and taking out some snarled up knots and HUGE stitches that were not going to work, but she did have fun--she's added more stitches and a few buttons--have to teach them how to sew on their own buttons, don't you know!!!
Susan you are such a wonderful grandma and she is such a cute and interesting granddaughter. These dolls look terrific!
