Power Lines II

More power lines.
Below---fun with paper.
Watercolor, 7"x 7"
SOLD

I love my granddaughter's paper doll--that's her green sink on the right--Gumby just happens to be looking on. I tried to make an old fashion paper doll--the kind I remember my grandmother making for my sister and I.

Grandpa has his own ideas for paper fun.

LOL.... what a fun family you have. Love the power line series. Unfortunately, my daughter is too much of a tomboy to play with paper dolls. *sigh*

Hi Sheila, good to hear from you--I should make some rough and tumble tomboy clothes!

Absolutely delightful Susan - nice that grandpa is happy to join in. I love the paper doll and her clothes. Used to play with them all the time myself.

Hi to another Sheila, I've just been over to your blog site--such beautiful paintings! Grandpa give us a great tip for making the paper dolls easier to play with--instead of those paper tabs that fold over the doll (but don't hold very well, so the clothes fall off at the slightest touch), He suggested using twisty ties (that hold plastic bags closed) They work great!

oh, making paper dolls with gramma. sigh. i think it's part of why i love the figure sooo much. what happy memories that brings! such contentment to sit and watch a grownup draw. how i relished that!!

mike is one kooky pepe - love him.

and power lines II: another DYNAMIC composition! ...and the morro bay linewoman, is still on the liiiiiiiinnnnnnne!

You know i need a short vaCAation---but it don't look like rain----dum de dum dum de dum--something about not stand-ing the pain. (I hate to admit that I actually like that song). And I'm having a short vacation from painting anyway since it's a looong weekend with school being out, but also I ran out of some painting supplies before my order is due in.

Did Gramma make the paper dolls? I do remember her making dresses.

I think it's so great that you are passing down some traditions that are going to last a lifetime. Ah...REAL paper dolls.

I love your new series of Power Line Paintings.
Just took a long, leisurely stroll back through your entire blog...first to last. What an amazing talent you are! You have such a gorgeous and unique body of work!
