This blog started with small daily paintings then changed to a more personal sharing of projects, events and photos. Enjoy!

Self Portrait with Child's Handprint
I thought I had a chunk of time when I started this--that got cut short, so I stayed up late to finish. It has a late night look to it. NFS Watercolor, 7"x 7"
Wow, Sue! Terrific self-portrait! It has the power of a B&W Kathe Kollowitz, yet done in watercolor! Not Easy! I LOVE it. Now let's see if I can get through the quagmire and get this post posted...
Thank you Edward and Mart, I was tentitive about posting this one--self portraits are personal, I mean there I am in all my glory and unglory--plus for a watercolor, I felt I overworked it, so thanks for the feedback-----------Sue
Susan, Thanks to Don gray I have found your blog. This self portrait is very expressive and well drawn and painted. Really like the color. The little hand print adds another level of contemplation to a contemplative portrait.

To me it doesn't look overworked at all. It's a lovely self-portrait, your use of color and light is wonderful!
Thanks Mineke-I honor your opinion because we work with the same medium and your paintings are so beautiful.----------Sue
