This blog started with small daily paintings then changed to a more personal sharing of projects, events and photos. Enjoy!

Primary Gumball Exchange

In the spirit of April first, the daily painters came up with the theme, "out of the box"--meaning we'd create something in an entirely different way than what we're used to. Although I've created collaborations with my granddaughter, this one is a collaboration with my sister Martha--she drew and painted the bottom image--sent it to me--I then let it sit for about a year before finishing it here. Martha is working on a very large and amazing wall piece--please do check it out!
It has been a long time since I've pulled a daily tarot card--I pulled the 7 of swords. I see this guy sneaking swords away--that's me sneaking a little time for myself here and there, (I'm posting this after hours while the little one sleeps) This lady is reaching into her shadow self--her dreams--a neglected part--both figures yearn for the other.

So cool! The bold lines and colors remind me of Marc Chagall. I love the way you worked your Little Sweetie's artwork into the piece and the playful faces throughout.

This is so neat!

This looks so different from your other works but I guess that's the whole point. (And it was a collaborative effort).

Whimsical, colorful, almost make-believe. Just love it!

Oh, and your sister's art rules too! Guess it runs in the family!
