I was about 19 or 20. I turned over a plot of earth in my back yard in Warwick, RI--shoveled some bin loads of some very black sticky composted dirt from a near by sewerage treatment plant--mixed it all in--planted seeds and watched, in awe and with my camera, as the plants grew from tiny sprouts to big beautiful plants with spectacular buds, flowers and fruits or vegetables . This must have been either a pumpkin or a squash plant. That was a great garden!
watermelon? Yes I think so.

Yes! We were both still at home at the time.
Clearly your love of gardening stayed with you all these years, Susan!

Hi Dean--I guess so--I've had many years without a garden too--just got tired of losing the fight--I'm back this year and I feel like I'm learning all over again!
