I've been thinking about my years of teaching art. Being asked to give a lesson brings back so many feelings that went along with that job. I'm hesitant to teach--I had truly reached a serious burnout point, that the thought of teaching again makes me feel somewhat ill.
Perhaps I'll be surprised and have a lot of fun with this class? We shall see...

I hope you're pleasantly surprised with the younger set of students. You could be the catalyst for a future master!
Looks great!!! and I hear ya about teaching kids...makes my stomach feel "wobilent" (word verification...)
Oh, I love this! It will be beautiful.
Yes, I hear you, too. Been there. But maybe it will be fun, because you don't have to be there everyday, you know what I mean?
I hear that more and more from teachers about the burn-out they suffer from. Paint just for yourself and enjoy some peace and quiet! Looking forward to more of your paintings!
Hi Ladies! Thanks for all your comments! All went well--and I do know what you mean about it not being a daily thing! Thank goodness!
Looks like they had fun and cute story about your grandaughter helping you teach. I know what you mean about teaching....did the kid thing for awhile but had to leave...went to college level...that was much better :) and now I am strictly adults.
I would love to come take some lessons with you though!!!!
Susan!
Someone with your talent should INDEED be teaching others!
If not full-time, why not occasionally instead?
This way you can still share your knowledge but not get burned out in the process.
