Wing

A turkey vulture flying overhead.
On my walk I went right by a freshly dead bird? creature? that didn't make it through the night, and I scared away a whole flock of turkey vultures--they took to the sky in wide circles, all the way home they seemed to be circling and following me? Or perhaps it was a whole different band of vultures? I felt grateful for the vultures of the world and tried to look upon the freshly dead in a different light.

  2. They are magnificent birds and do a great job around here. I am grateful for them. American vultures belong to the Cathartidae family, derived from a Greek word, meaning "cleanser". Great shot!
