Happy Birthday to me and my son!! Yes we share the same birthday. Twenty four years ago was a very good birthday for me!! So it looks like I'm turning 79, but we combined both our candles on one cake--what a blaze! Sure, you can do the math--why do people hate to tell their age?--I never understood that--I'm 55--A good number to remember, (I've been known to lose track of my age) Check out the cake! My son's fiancee made this german chocolate cake with a strawberry cake filling, decked with strawberries and peppermint patty wedges on top, (which were very warm and melty after we blew out the candles--yum!)

A sneak peek at my garden--A have soil, plants and a sprinkler system thanks to my son who is also creating his own garden that I have yet to see.

A street dance performance. She would not let me adjust her skirt, but thankfully she didn't lose it!

A visit with her father's family--spending time with her uncle and aunt--an important connection, she'll learn bits and pieces about her father from his family. And oh man, was that water cold!!
Hi Susan! Congratulations and Happy Birthdays to you and your handsome son! I have begun to post pics re life on my little planet. I hope you enjoy! As we go into winter I will be enjoying seeing your garden grow.
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa, I checked out the pictures on your blog--I can't imagine having to deal with baboons! What beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteBirthday Buddies! Love these shots! Glad P kept her shirt on! :*)
ReplyDeleteWell, a happy belated birthday to you and your son. Looks like it was a great day. I can relate to the loss of memory when it comes to age. Mine's a bit above yours - I keep thinking I am 59 for some reason and that won't happen for some time yet. I'm only 57.(?) I think? 10-1952.
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha--it was a good day!!

Hi Dolores---I know, I do the same thing--I have to do the math to figure out my age and I was doing that back when I was in my twenties!!
Happy belated birthday, Susan!!!
ReplyDeleteYou could burn down someone's house with all those combined birthday candles! LOL
