Crazy bright orange new growth waving and dancing on the top of a eucalyptus tree reminding me of an intricate Calder mobile branching out to smaller and smaller leaves. Watercolor, 7"x 7" SOLD
I agree with Shelia...wonderful use of the negative space. The clean blue works beautifully with the bright colors. This one gives me a real feeling of space and freshness.

ReplyDeleteThanks Martha--I've been thinking about making another mobile lately, but there are other things I must do.
ReplyDeleteHi Gwen,
ReplyDeleteThanks! I just love the sounds of space and freshness.
This one's unique, Susan!
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of fully formed leaves against the older crumbling leaves, against the new growth just beginning to emerge.
I don't think I've ever seen someone capture a "circle of life" scene like that in painting before!
Like all of your paintings, this has a lot of movement in it without even trying.
The vibrant colors just top it all off and make it complete!
